I was just listening to my favorite radio show (Bob Lonsberry. 570 KNRS. Weekdays, 5-9 a.m.)  A lady called in with a Holiday tip.  I want to share it with you.  This is a poem to help us in our Holiday purchasing so we don't "overdo" it.  For each person we should consider the following:
Something they want,
Something they need,
Something to wear,
Something to read.
I think that's a nice guideline, and I'm going to try to remember it.

What a smart and simple idea!

I have also heard of giving children 3 gifts, as the wise men gave Jesus 3 gifts (what child can justify that they deserve more gifts than Jesus?).

This year Norm and I are each giving each child 1 item, plus Santa brings one item. Norm is making each gift in the wood-shop. Should be a nice and simple Christmas.
